In a significant effort to promote access to higher education, the Caleb Danladi Foundation has sponsored the registration of over 300 students for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The beneficiaries, drawn from several underserved and rural communities, received full sponsorship of their JAMB registration as part of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting education and youth development.
Speaking at the event, the Founder of the Caleb Danladi Foundation, Mr. Caleb Danladi Bako, who was represented by Mr. David Tuk, said the initiative was designed to remove financial barriers that prevent many qualified students from pursuing tertiary education.
Mr. Tuk explained that the Foundation believes education is a powerful tool for transforming lives and communities.
“This initiative is aimed at ensuring that talented young people are not denied the opportunity to further their education because of financial challenges. The Caleb Danladi Foundation remains committed to investing in the future of our youths,” he said on behalf of the founder.
The gesture attracted commendation from community leaders, traditional rulers, and religious leaders, who described the sponsorship as timely and impactful.
A community leader noted that many parents in rural communities struggle to meet the cost of JAMB registration and praised the Foundation for supporting students who might otherwise miss the opportunity.
“This support has lifted a huge burden from many families and has given hope to students who desire higher education. We appreciate Caleb Danladi Foundation for this noble intervention,” he said.
Religious leaders also lauded the initiative, describing it as a reflection of genuine concern for the welfare and future of young people. They encouraged other individuals and organizations to emulate the Foundation’s example by investing in education.
Several beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Foundation, noting that the sponsorship has given them renewed hope and motivation to pursue their academic goals.
One of the students said:
“I am very grateful to the Caleb Danladi Foundation for registering me for JAMB. My parents could not afford the fee, and I thought I would miss the examination. This support has encouraged me to work harder in my studies.”
Another beneficiary described the gesture as life-changing, stating that it has opened doors of opportunity for many students.
The Caleb Danladi Foundation, a non-profit organization, focuses on improving lives through interventions in education, youth empowerment, digital literacy, and support for vulnerable groups, particularly in rural communities.
Education stakeholders have described the initiative as a meaningful contribution toward expanding access to tertiary education and reducing inequality in educational opportunities.
The Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining and expanding the program in order to reach more students in future examination cycles.
